Eastern Wastes is another option. Though white, like Iceclad, at least the mobs you won't be fighting are white. You have a progression of animals to fear kite:
* Walruses (low 30's) * Rhinos (mid 30's) * Mammoths (mid-to-high 30's) * Griffins (high 30's) * Elder Griffins (low 40's) | ||

If blue mobs on snow aren’t annoying the Drakkel wolves in GD will get you dwarf faction and are very close to a town to bind in. I want to say I did these after IC cougars and before WL raptors. Unlike Ot tigers and rhinos they don’t run sow speed.
The nice thing about Overthere though is a greater population of people in their 30’s and no blind hills. Fall damage and mobs sneaking up on you is common in GD. | ||
