Botham Jean had a red rug in front of his apartment. Amber Guyger did not. Guyger told law enforcement Jean's door was unlocked and ajar when she arrived and she thought he was a burglar. Jean's family and their attorneys say they don't believe Guyger's story.

If her story is legit then no. She claims she thought she was entering her apartment and believed there to be a robbery taking place. Manslaughter is what she could be charged with if there is no evidence of premeditation.
