![]() Well, I was about 6-7 when my parents let me play EQ for the first time, I think in the month that I played before my child-like attention span broke I explored a large part of Odus, knew EC like the back of my hand, and stayed away from the tunnel because it made me lag. >.>
A couple years after, about Luclin time, I got to experience the joy of getting my SK trapped in the bandit caverns at the very end with no food or drink and a disease that was about to kill me. Had to have my dad pay for a wizard to come and pick me up.

![]() I had never been to Surefall Glade until P99.
I've been up to the upper reaches of CoM only once, for the shaman epic. I've only been to the 'City Proper' in the Hole, then straight to High Scale Kirn, also for shaman Epic. I've never been inside VP, Sleeper's Tomb, or Dragon Necropolis. I've been to Cobalt Scar and Sirens Grotto only on PEQ. Other than that, I've been to every other zone enough to say I did more than just pass through.

![]() I hunted the same things with almost every character and made way too many alts back in the day so there is alot of stuff I never got to explore. When I first thought of coming back my initial wish was to do the paladin sword quests while they were still relevant and a challenge. Then I got on and made a mage because I was worried about finding groups being new post kunark release.
Before p99 I had never really bothered with Lavastorm, Najena (although now I've used it for the mystic quest and hunted mages for my torch. Need to go back and get the rest of them), or either sol outside of a random rushdown with the guild to get somebody a piece for the Bard epic I believe. Did some exp grinding there tonight, would love to get a named camp and plan to go back. The rest is a long list of zones I never bothered with that I wish I had. Kedge is a big deal for me, I really want to experience this zone. Went in and died today, but thats ok, I'll figure it out. In fact, if anyone who hasn't really explored it wants to give it a go, I'm down. Of course, I'm only 39. I recently did some Cazic, enough to say I've hunted there. Mostly just mage focus hunting a spawn I don't even remember. I would like to go back there as well so I'll probably eventually twink a rogue or SK. Mostly the things I want to do now that I'm back are raids. I didn't do enough of the plains and I never killed Inny. I want to do a real raid on Vox and Naggy. I would love to see Sky. I never did any of the highest Kunark dungeons but I don't know if I have the time for the heavy keying that seems to be required. Will probably try to put in the effort to get to do the sleeper though, as much grinding, tradeskilling, and gearing up I'll need to do. That just seemed like one of the most epic wins.

![]() I've spent at least a week of my life in real time in Dalnir...
That god damned Visceral Dagger quest for my first necro, then later for my SK's Greenmist - pure hell. Crystal Caverns. I have never, ever been in that zone. I have no idea where it is, and as far as I know, I don't care too much.

![]() Never seen most of it, RL kept me from playing EQ as much as I wanted to on live and has again on p99. I haven't logged on in months and might not for months more
Just started lurking the forums again over the past day or two and much has changed since I last played! I think my 35 ranger might have SoW now, but all of my gear is probably worthless

![]() In original EQ, like most people, I got familiar with a few zones and always re-leveled new toons in those same zones. Much later on, when I was bored, I went and explored the rest of the world. It didn't have the same feel, since it was all so extremely trivial.
When I first started on p99, one of my main goals was that, this time around, I would hunt in all those zones I had never seen while they were worth something. It's been an amazing journey, and I can say that I've gotten xp in all of classic this time around, and I've made an iksar monk (first iksar, first monk ever for me) so that I can do the same with kunark. Most of the kunark zones I've hunted with my iksar have been for the first time. I really recommend it, even if twinked, try to xp in zones you don't know like the back of your hand, it really captures the magic of original EQ instead of just being nostalgia. Deep Paw is fun, kedge is amazing (although massive xp nerf sucks), MM castle is very well done, lower guk has all sorts of quirks both live and dead side, HHK lives up to the hype, runny eye is really creepy, perma is good times, just to name a few places I've taken the time to explore. The best thing is to find like minded people, and I can say I've been lucky to find many. While I was leveling up, I was doing this so often that I would get tells "so where are we going to today?" from friends. cheers!
