Welcome! As a bard you do need to make some small macros in order to not get insane. Usually you would make them as follows:
/stopsong
/cast #n

where #n is a number between 1 and 8. You make all 8 of them and then enjoy switching songs a lot faster. Bard is incredibly versatile and powerfull but very demanding at the same time. Have fun!
