At 60 you get 11 bonus damage, and the fist become 20/16 (1.25 ratio) in the main hand, that's why it outdamage most weapons with a better ratio, addy club in comparaison become 26/25 (1.04 ratio)
It's not correct.
While the tendency is right, the MH Bonus is added without Modifier.

The correct formula can be found on the Wiki under Mechanics:

[Max Damage] = ([Mod] x [Weapon Damage]) + [Main Hand Bonus] (rounded down)

I did not know that interesting thanks, so the Mod is always minimum 2 and up to 4.31 for monks with max strength. That makes the bonus damage less relevant than I thought but still something to take into account.

[Mod] is calculated as: ([Weapon Skill] + [STR] -75) / 100

I had the same conversation with a guildy a couple of months ago. Like you, i also thought you could just add MH bonus to weapon damage (hence 20/16 for Epic monk fists). That's when i looked it up on the wiki [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
