This would take years minimum but I believe a classic client albeit one that can use velious UI combined the general philosophy of "Yes it's 20 years and everything is known content wise but fuzzily known mechanics implemented as a best guess combined with arcane rules on the back end of things are a decent simulacrum of that classic feel"

Have fun rewriting the EQclassic source from the ground up although not a horrible place to start your own project. I guess admins have no interest in applying a hypothetical trilogy compatible layer due to netcode issues which is a shame as that would allow p1999/TAKP players to get those classic feels without resorting to another box.
