So one guild can actually prevent everyone not in their guild from getting any loot worth a damn? That sounds like more of a shitshow than normal PVP servers.

Thats exactly how it was on Tallon Zek. Often times you would have guild v guild battles over a contested spawn in an attempt to deny the other guild loot. Given that was on a server with a much higher population and more than one guild, so not exactly apples to apples...
