Whatever happened to having to face targets for offensive spells?
Was this changed during velious or something? Way back in the day I remember that offensive spells required you to have the target in front of your vision, with about a 90 degree arc being "your front". Beneficial spells did not have this penalty, however.

I remember my druid friend ktiing in karanas during classic and never needed to. Would cast, run, and literally count the seconds out loud to know when he could stop to cast. Never turned around.

I'm sure Rygar's nipples are hardened at the prospect of something this impactful being reverted to "Classic" if it is indeed true... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] he's probably searching through patch history archives as I speak!

I played during the open beta and on release and having to face your target was never a thing as far as I know.
