Depends on if you're salary or not. I used to think of my pay in terms of dollars per hour when I was a contractor. Now that I'm salary I think of it in terms of annual salary.

Hey I'm no fan of Dannyl but like I said earlier, when I was a contractor I knew my hourly rate off the top of my head and not my annual rate, because my pay was listed hourly from my employer. It's really not unheard of.
