I found the Lumi staff to be most usefull between 46 and 49. The higher you get, the less value it has.

What do VS stones go for these days? Maybe 20k? At level 51, if you already have 8k, you can probably save up another 12k and just get a VS stone MQ to get your epic.

Epic >> (Lumi staff + 15k in wis/mana gear)
