I find myself once again daydreaming about this game when I'm driving and while I'm at work. I have random dreams about the game. I experienced this back when I was 16 when the game first came out.

No other game has ever captured my imagination like Everquest did.

Ditto. My addiction was strong back then, and it is strong now as well. More than anything though, I am on the same page as far as how vividly the game captures the imagination and how it really is the end-all be-all MMO. It has left a permanent impression on my video gaming life, as I seriously doubt I will ever be able to immerse myself into any other MMORPG as much as I was able to with EQ. There is just no reason for anything else...it's just too perfect (as long as the community is there).

Two questions, if I may:

1) Do you really look just like Brad Pitt?

2) Are you seriously equating imagination and sensitivity with sexual orientation? (It was pretty hard to phrase that question without coming off sounding gay and I think I failed. But really, how sad no? These are legitimate qualities even for the most macho of men.)

LOL, you imply that I make it a habit to "ruin" threads. As it happens, this thread was pretty much played out. However, if I do derail it, you have my apologies. I might point out in closing that your own post (above) regarding my post is hardly in keeping with the thread subject and seems rather incendiary to me.

I had to walk 5 miles in the snow to play EQ everyday, then have a 3 hour staring contest with a gnome just to get a camp! *shudders*. You don't WANT to experience my horrid nightmares of yesteryear! Only the drugs and booze got me through it all. Curse Verant for ever conceiving this diabolical trap!
