I'm looking forward to using a rusty weapon and wearing patchwork armor. I'm looking forward to wiping. I'm looking forward to corpse runs. I'm looking forward to trains from hell. I'm looking forward to working as a team to hold down tough camps without high level buffs or people being twinked.

I'm looking forward to the surprise awesome pug. I'm looking forward to meeting people I enjoy playing with that I end up playing with regularly. I'm looking forward to looking at the clock and realizing that I have gamed until 3 AM for the first time in years. I look forward to playing a game where the goal is enjoying getting to end game rather than rushing to end game.

I look forward to being a part of a community that has some people who are looking forward to these same things. I'm assuming there are at least few of you or you wouldn't be playing a 20 year old game on an emulated server.

What I'm not the least bit concerned about...getting a guise or a mana stone, rushing to high level, twinking alts, or lusting after twenty year old pixels.

Anybody else?
Im right there with you!!!!

Even though I started in Classic I was a few month late to the party and there were zones that I never leveled in during that time. I am looking forward to that. Especially with everybody in classic gear.

Yes and no. Since gearing up won't involve buying cheap overpowered items at the tunnel it will be fun. And with /list even the camps for guise or mana stone might be an interesting experience. 20 people sitting around there, mainly trying to kill time somehow might even be entertaining. At least for a few hours. Actually getting those items though... I might try for the mans stone, probably not for the guise.

i look forward to 6 mage to vox. got 5 ip exemptions in the works baby!
Luckily that is not going to happen. I made the mistake of trying a TLP server. A mage army with 1 cleric and 23 mages tried and failed horribly. And those pets were a lot more powerful than the Classic ones and since Sol Ro and the Hole were already open most of the mages had focus items and their gear was a lot better than everything that will be available on Green.

It did, for a time though. People were pet farming the dragons and Phinny pretty much naked, and then selling the dragon loot for lots of kronos.
The devs eventually implemented a buff on boss mobs that made pets much weaker (Mitigation of the Mighty, aka MotM) so that tactic is no longer possible.

Won't be an issue here, though. Pets are much weaker in general and no focus items will be in for some time.

My level 52 SK on Live can and has solo'd both Vox and Nagafen with a merc. A molo, as it's called.

Long, drawn out affair because of the Complete Heals, but it's moloable for basically any class at 52. Maybe not Ranger?

He had a Greenmist and full intricate defiant armour, which at his level, basically means full NToV, but with some heroic stats, better modifiers and regen.

EDIT: and before the drivel: No, it's not because mercs are just that powerful. A competent player in good gear destroys any merc.
