Confused about this. I thought early character creation on Green boiled down to "create your character on Blue to book the name".

Create the character now, on Blue, and then use that same account once Green opens up to create the character, again. You have it correct.

They still haven't said what will happen at the end of Green when it is rolled into Blue, regarding 1) duplicate named characters, 2) accounts that have more than 8 characters on Blue/Green combined, etc. But that is a long ways off.
