Except if this was an authentic experience, you wouldn't even know that those quests were that great, since none of us did back then.

People are missing the part where there's a flood of info that didn't exist at launch back then, and all the min/max bullshit hadn't been figured out yet

You're not about to argue that all mob stats, all dungeon levels, all loot locations, all spell effects, etc should be randomized just because we didn't know all that stuff 20 years ago though, are you?

That wouldn't make for a more "authentic experience" because it wouldn't even be the same game that we are here for. Neither do ninja changes to classic mechanics make for a more authentic experience.
