First of all, yes, most easily-obtainable gear is droppable. Temple of Sol Ro quest armor, for instance.

Secondly, there is, in fact, at least one significant droppable necro item Iksar can't wear: Golden Efreeti Boots. For Iksar, the best easy alternative is ShadowBound Boots from the Temple of Solusek Ro quest.

And BB, he doesn't have to delete his first necro. He could keep it, mostly naked, and park it somewhere to farm something, or camp it in some raid zone for his guild to use for corpse summons or resurrections. Having a shared necro bot could be awesome for a guild that does Plane of Sky. Of course, only share info with trusted people, and change the password from time to time.

OP, your plan is not crazy. However, consider making a mage first, gathering a bunch of droppable mage/necro items, making your necro, and then having access to both a mage and a necro. In fact, farm 2 suits of gear so your mage remains properly clothed. You can raid with your necro and park the mage at some cash camp to farm when you don't want to play your necro for some reason. Mages can become coth bots later.

Whatever you do, make a new loginserver account for your new necro so you can have a friend log in one and you log in the other. Don't put multiple level 50 characters on one account like a noob.
