But consider after 5, 6, 7 yellow/red pulls, your healer is OOM/LOM, slower is OOM/LOM. Then its a math problem - is it more effective to kill 30 blue/whites til OOM or 10 yellow/reds.

Answer is blues/whites.
EQ should be renamed to "Kill Blue Mobs"

There are lots of nubs on this server and it's great that there are people new to the game but a lot of them believe everything the internet tells them. The wiki is a great resource but it's not infallible.

What's also amazing to me is how everybody on Green loads up their groups to 6. There is no bonus. It's just less XP for everyone and very rarely are you killing more mobs with the extra person/people.

The social aspect of EQ also involves "listening to your elders" and learning from people who actually know the game. A lot of people have a serious problem with this, especially coming from an on-rails "polished" game like WoW. It's quite frustrating really and it's not fun, especially when these people get other people killed all the way into low 40s.

Really instead of poring over the wiki you should get a few people together and.....kill blue mobs. Lots of them. Repeatedly.

EQ ----the game where the goal is --- kill blue mobs
