Default What are these weird light spots?

My bard is doing wisps in NK (I'm trying to be friendly here; I'm the only bard in zone at the moment, and with the 4 limit I'm not "hoarding" them), but there are areas that are as if there was a wisp or other light source there, but now there is nothing. It's not a player invis'd.

Just... 'atmosphere' or something?

wisps. Either where they are, or were recently. The lighting seems to kind of lag at distance.

I don't think in this case; that light source has been there for 45 mins. Could be a client glitch, I suppose.

Perhaps someone that is invisible and has a light source on them (and is afk)?
Probably just a glitch tho. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It's a glitch in the matrix.

I think it's wisps. I suspect the client does get glitchy because it stops getting location updates on the wisp when you are far away and the light gets 'stuck'. Get one in sight, then camp and come back, see if it's still there.

Abandoned light sources. If you check, the last patch was supposed to reduce these.

Hahah, yeah, supposed to help with casting at swimming mobs too. God help me if I ever get a mob in the water; he's immune to everything but steel.

I can't imagine how bad it was BEFORE that patch.

But, thanks - I suspect you are correct.

right...the 'light sources' are from wisps originally was my point.

Also, as far as I know you have never been able to cast on a mob in the water unless you got in it too.
