This is why I avoid grouping. I have a job where I'm on call at all times, and I'm on the phone a lot with band members, the girlfriend, etc. that requires my full attention most of the time. I know some pickup groups would be ok with it, but I'd rather avoid the drama altogether, especially when it comes to dungeon groups and the like where my temporary (or permanent) absence would hurt the group.

I'm doing ok so far

I'm a soloist at heart, and I like the challenge. Unrest is treating me well at the moment [You must be logged in to view images. I am trying to find a good solo class with group capabilities. I know Shaman are great in groups, but I never heard that they were good soloers!

From what I've gathered, they get pretty powerful at higher levels (w/ regen, cani, torpor, slow, haste, pet, etc.), and they can solo quite a bit at any level. This is my first real shammy, and it's been pretty good so far - the downtime kinda sucks, though; I'm hoping Cani and Regen will help alleviate that a bit later on.

My RL friend is a 57 shaman and he solo'd well all the way up until that but gear does help. He also grouped quite a bit too but was very viable solo if he couldn't find a group.

I can understand this a lot. That's the big problem with grouping.
