I recently found these archived on www.everquest.com.tw, dumped with Wayback Machine.

Fully EQ binary patch history from March 2000 until April 2001. Each patch contains changed files including spdat.eff, zone files, eqgame.exe etc:

I looked through the zips and there are about 20 spdat.eff files, I've extracted and named/archived them all in the git repo:

This should be tremendously helpful for dating changes.
