It's non-working hours someplace at any given time of day. Most quakes historically happen during times convenient for North American players. If the quakes ever become automated (as was once the goal) I should expect to see them occur at random hours more often.

It's not so much that it occurred in the middle of a NA work day. It's coupled with the last 2 happening during the spawn windows when the mobs were already going to be spawning. Makes little sense to drop an EQ then.

The classic I remember was weekday downtime on PST office hours, so like noon to one PM EST on a Tuesday and shit, mad repops!

There was also a fair amount of downtime in classic. Definitely more than we've seen so far on green.

The average person is working a 8-5 these days M-F, myself included. Post initial pandemic wave, most folks are returning to their normal grind. Experiencing a quake would be nice... for once. Here's to hoping a quake can at a minimum shift the windows to be on a Saturday or Sunday next time.

Also, on a semi-related rant: socking raid mobs with a 16 hour window is the unhealthiest thing ever for the longevity of this server. I love the race for FTE, love the competitive nature of the mobs, really enjoy the strategies implemented to defeat the gods and dragons, and I love the chaos of managing the adds... but FFS, someone needs to look at the health of the players. It's not healthy to have giant windows on these mobs for the sake of "drift". Shorten the windows for God's sake. Even if the window was +/- 4 hours it would be better... or maybe just make an earthquake BE the pop each week at some random undetermined time. Sitting for 36 hours at your computer at the wee hours of the morning waiting for each window to open is never how this game was intended to be played.

I can't be the only one thinking this. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Love yall

Sarp

People complaining that a feature meant to be annoying is actually annoying.

Quake hit @ 3am my time if that helps. So yah it's inconvenient for some folks.

Also Quakes should happen every weekend, lock it in!

But then everybody would be able to participate and compete. The 1% does not want that.

Window drift will have mobs spread out for everyone in a week - I think Friday midday or Sunday night is great quake time being fair to everyone, I remember waiting almost a year for a ring 8 roll.

Last Earth Quake is not an earth quake. it's a global server reset.

BUT, there was no any update after it, from server side to client side, people was guessing it's sky plane to be in game. but NO, nothing new after the reset, except all gods' respawn.

And this is the 2nd full respawn of same weekend.
