They nerfed combat bind wound cause people failed to figure it out 20 years ago? Oof. Wonder what other things were in the game but no one had figured out yet.

How do you figure that? Sure if you press bind wound while fighting a mob nothing would happen which is what people were trying to do in 1999. They didnt know you had to turn attack off and type /stand for it to work lol.

I mean, /stand wasn't even added until Luclin:

But we've already dug up combat logs showing that being hit would instantly interrupt bind wound in-era:

I never played classic back in the day. P99 is my first Everquest experience. I was playing Ultima Online back then. If bind wound is now how it was on classic then its a good thing I suppose!

If bind wound is now classic then fix dex affecting archery damage!!! Its documented that dex and not str should be used for archery. This seems more of a priority then bind wound.

But does the simultaneous invigorate/bind wounds trick still work though?

/sit off existed though. I originally discovered the trick bandaging near a corpse, looting then realising I had stood up without interrupting bandaging. It took years of EQ before these circumstances aligned for me. I don’t know how others discovered it.
