I did go outside today and I ended up sticking my hand in a spider web with bug guts on accident.

Garden spiders love spinning large webs between the pillars of my front porch. It took a few years and numerous facefulls of spiderweb before i got into the habit of swinging a board or at least my arm ahead in low-light conditions. At least once or twice a year I hear the telltale shriek of the wife forgetting to take that same precaution.
