If you want to call it a Fairy Tale that’s fine. Fairy Tales hold truths across time. The Bible is made up of actual people. You’re over simplification of The Bible is a mistake. If you examined the book as an adult without the slant that this is being sold as scientific fact you would find much value in its stories. You’ve likely replaced the tenants of Religion with the idea that rationality and science will lead you to happiness. Good luck

I did read some of it at school and it just isn't that good a story. Even compared to other similar fairy tales like those of the Norse or Egyptian gods it is particularly bland.
I'd much rather read a good story than that puerile crap... Some Proust, Yasunari Kawabata, Camus, Gogol, Mishima, Dostoevsky for instance.
