I like both Star Trek and Star Wars, and think they are both different things.

If I had to pick though, I think Star Wars is more consistent and much better produced. The fight scence in Star Wars are cool. And I think they could have cut a lot of the action out of Star Trek and some of the storylines are really depressing with almost no uplifting side, mostly tragic. Where as Star Wars is more neutral and really embodies the spirit of Jedism.
