LOLOLOL. Sorry I used to play Eve. There are a lot of ships in Eve, all with names that are pulled from various cultural mythologies. It is the most nerve-grating thing there is to hear someone constantly mispronounce "Lachesis" or "Anathema" (two name just a couple).

yeah it's pronounced neh crow... but the thing is that many of us started playing eq from a very young age and learned a lot of words from eq text. Only recently did I realize I pronounced "amygdalan knight" incorrectly. It's based on the amygdala! who knew (not who knew it was based on that, but what 12 year old knew what an amygdala is).

And right now? I couldn't say, for sure, if I say peridot correctly. Pretty sure I do! but maaaan so many different ways that people say it.

Don't be so critical. doors isn't the only idiot out there!
