A music critic can't teach anyone how to play the Blues, even though they can better articulate what distinguishes it from other genres, more so than a Blues musician speaking in their own words. A game developer doesn't have time to poopsock and understand raid culture, even though they do play and understand the mechanics.

Similarly, a police officer or medical professional wouldn't know how to survive homelessness directly, the way a homeless person would. Book knowledge only goes so far. Just how reliable are those old EQ Prima guides now? A police officer who read Abbie Hoffman front to back wouldn't be an expert on not needing a million dollars to do nothing. It's one thing to study something or even interact with it regularly, it's quite another to live it.

Pain, loss, and injustice...all relevant to blues music and to the events being discussed. Adiction, disease, PTSD, etc. Any number of life experiences could be used in place of that. Someone who is legally retarded or low IQ is typically not only able to afford a mortgage, but also often living in what’s called a group home, which is a place where they have staff to keep on eye on theirs/others safety and assist them with getting to and from what’s called a “day program”, which is like a school for adults which teaches them basic life skills

Pulling out was the right thing to do. It was going to be ugly in any case. But we probably should have evacuated everyone before removing the military protection. That was most definitely stupid and Biden will own that.
