Sounds like healthcare..my mom goes through the same thing. Every day. Sometimes she's at the bottom of the pile so her managers are calling her at home from their home at 8pm. After a 16 hr work day.

Usually. 99% of the time it's not something my mom did or didn't do.

for me it's always, "hey x didn't come in. we don't have enough warm bodies to work the floor. you have to COME BACK INTO WORK!!!"
