Angry Memory error and crash on server menu

Basically what the title says, i tried to lower some graphic settings and the game would crash just starting it so i reverted back and now i make it to the server menu. then crashes with memory error. i tried to edit the file but i dont have permission to save. Im not that computer savy. Tried to change to 1366 768 thats my monitor res. Im pretty sure all my UI's are reset now also. i didn get in once and it looked half reset. my chat boxes and stuff were all gone but the hot keys were set still. what files to i all save for characters set up. "character name_1999green and UI "character name" i have backed up any others?

Got the file to save, i guess i was just to frustrated to think straight.

Yeah none of that works. Also why do the character files sometimes only show up. i looked before and they were not there. They are not showing up for someone else.

didnt work until i turned compadibility mode back off. so the old crashing when logging issue and others now are there. I also have to redo all my UIs. workled on one for almost 30 minutes and not even close to being done. ugh. Thanks for your help.

Move your install out of Program Files. The client can only write to that location if you use "run as administrator" on the eqgame.exe shortcut, hence why you don't always see your character's ini files (they're in your user directory).

Easiest workaround is to not have the game in Program Files.

Tried all these options still a memory error. Worked fine most of the morning[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Same issue started for me today as well. Tried Changing the aspect ratio as well as every other fix I could find, but still getting the same memory error…I’ve been playing on this same pc for years…ugh
