Deleted character?

So my pc had a bad problem last year and i have not played in months maybe 6 or 7 and i finally got set back up and my character is gone from green, any way to recover or do i need to reroll a new one?

Do you have the right account on the right server?

Characters on green have never been deleted for inactivity

Make sure your spell file is updated.

Re-log in, it's likely somehow the green server got unselected.

This has happened to me, and my heart skips a beat, but then I re-check and make sure Green is selected and it ends up being fine.

im definitely logging into the right account, i have only ever made 1 and green server. i will check everything again after work today

how do i update my spell file? ill check thru the tech forum but will ask here just incase there is an easy answer since you suggest it. i literally just redownloaded and installed yesterday so it could be anything i suppose.
if you mean the most recent patch at top of the home page, yes i patched my eq file with that.

edit: adding to the fun i tried for giggles to make a new toon with my characters name and name was rejected, im sure because hes still on the server /shrug

hrmm.. did you log into the blue server and check there?

Is it possible your characters weren't on green, but on blue instead? That would prevent that same character from being made on green.

You can actually use the exact same name and even class on each server if it's the same account.

I'm guessing it is something in the files, I'd do a fresh install. Also if you had multiple characters on blue before you do a fresh install you can always log on there, if they show up then is it possible it was a shared account and something sketchy went down?
