Error 1018: You Currently have an active character

Hello. I've been getting Error 1018: You currently have an active character on that EverQuest Server, please allow a minute for synchronization and try again.
This is on blue server. I've been camped out for hours now. I checked with another account and I don't have any characters online, and no one has my password. What can I do?

I'm getting the same error on Green. Any resolution?

You can get a hung process of eqgame.exe that will keep you locked out. You can restart the pc to clear it out or look in the task manager and clear out any open instances

Thank You! It seems like a restart and a couple more attempts did the trick.
