Has there ever been a race to see who can get to 60 first naked with no gear?
I was just thinking which would be the easiest and it is probably a necro or something.

It would be a bard and it would not even be close

Not counting bard cuz hax it would be enchanter and then probably druid and necro and shaman
Enchanter because of charm. Druid because of charm animal.

The presented question says naked with no gear. So it all boils down to raw mana efficiency and regeneration as base mana pool is going to be pretty "meh". Druid charms are not as strong or efficent as torching humanoid / undead charms and cycling thru charms, which means to be more efficent as a druid charming you have to reverse charm kill to get the damage output that any enc or necro can get with a backpack full of torches / lutes (assuming torches and lutes are not breaking the "no gear" rule) since you are not equiping them on your own character, but on your pets. How I would rank it.... Now granted level 60 takes multiple days.... even for the most hardcore players sleep, work(for those that have a job lol), or account sharing will play a factor in a real life scenario on a race to 60...So you could very easily see another class reach 60 first simply because said player plays 16hours a day / account shares, etc, etc.... However in theorectial by the numbers scenario "race" with individual player skill or time commitment per day is equalized... assuming all players / classes have a high level of skill and Everquest Game knowledge (because EQ is largely a knowledge based game) just simply boiling down the numbers I would rank it as such.... 1) Bard (Obvious reason) 2) Enchanter (Charm with no level gaps, +torch) 3) Necromancer (charm some level gaps, +self mana, +torch) 4) Druid (charm) 5) Shaman (Dots, +self mana) 6) Wizard 7) Mage (Very difficult "not really worth the hassle" but possible) Rest wont get to 60 completely naked. A ranger could do it if you allow them a tolan bracer and a bow or some fine steel swords to fear kite animals.... But none of the melee classes or even hybrids are going to be mana efficent enough to kill mobs to 60 completely naked.... Heck most melee / hybrid classes would struggle to gear 60 completely solo WITH gear.

Clearly 'without gear' means using only your 5 milk, 5 bread, weapon* and maybe a candle plus a couple of spell/song scrolls.
Firstly, that means no buying new spells! Scrolls are items and items used are gear. Secondly, given those restrictions I think Iksar monk is the only contender for being able to be close to hitting 60 with no gear / spells added. Certainly in her 20s and I think 30s my monk could still kill xp mobs naked. It was kinda crazy!

Is ench really better than necro without CHA gear? Also mage is not "very difficult". You just summon a pet and focus on single spawns. It is easy mode.

Necro would definitely win. Enchanter really struggles until charming gets rolling and a necro would be able to separate itself in those early stages pretty well with fear kiting.
They both hit their stride with charming and they can take the same quick path through the 50's in HS. Plus they have better mana regen and an easier time recovering from a bad situation. Now I'm kind of intrigued about leveling a Necro to 60 Ironman naked.

Mage is really being snubbed here.
