Oh yeah. Putting the car in reverse was definitely not Lawful Neutral enough for that cop.

Tbf San Antonio is kinda like Jersey Shore in that gangster sitcom.

Officer was uniformed with cam on too. He probably followed procedure. Cars are lethal weapons.

(I'm not saying it was right). But probably legal.

Ya, 100% right, a car is a lethal weapon and as soon as you drive your vehicle towards a police officer who is then in danger of being run over they have the legal right to shoot you through your front window. The only reason I say this is because I’ve seen it happen, and the cop not be in trouble for it. The perp has essentially demonstrated then they are willing to run over a pedestrian in an attempt to get away and are therefore an immediate danger to the officer and the community

However, this officer was fired and the dep’t said he did not act in accordance to training. Meaning that based on the angle of the car, it’s speed, and his ability to move, he was not in danger of being run over. So he effed up, as big as someone can eff up, it appears

Myself at his age had a cop make a motion to shoot me. I had been pulled over for a completely frivolous reason (claimed my truck matched description of one that was reported stolen). Asked me where I was going and I said to play racquetball and I reached for a racquet handle sticking up from the back seat

The officer immediately put his hand on his gun and yelled for me to put my hands on the wheel. I did without thinking. I think I was about 17-18 years old, I remember because it was the truck my dad bought me for my first vehicle

That's a pretty broad "almost"

Kind of seems like back-handed victim blaming, unless you're implying there is a genetic trait present in Americans that causes them not to listen to police

Because our cops sure as hell do kill a shitload of people
