and yeah secrets isn't involved, the anticheat .dll is completely different from the one that secrets wrote a few years ago and isn't nearly as invasive

Binding rules are Cities + Encampants*(See below) only. A quick overview of PvP rules & mechanics: PvP is +/- 4 levels Characters can flag FFA if they help a player above their PvP range. FFA flag lasts several minutes. Many zones are flagged FFA & Lockout, and have a level requirement. These rules, if any, will be displayed when you enter. Boxing rules are set to 3 per person. Corpses decay in 2.5 hours, and 6 hours in raid zones. Corpses can be retrieved at any Priest of Discord in a starting city when they rot. Bards are removed. In their place, we have added Beastlords. Bazaar has been enabled - Accessible via the East Commonlands tunnel - Cannot cast spells or melee while inside Guilds are created by the server staff. Message Skeeter if you wish to create one. PvP Mechanics When you die in PvP, you are sent to the Island of Misfits (Safe Zone). When you are ready to go back to your bind point, click any torch or campfire in the zone. If you die again within a short time frame, you will be locked to the Island of Misfits for a short duration. Players accrue Infamy when they get PvP kills. Infamy is a metric to track a player’s bounty. When a player dies in PvP, a percentage of their total Infamy is stolen and given to the person who gets the kill. If the killer is in a group, Infamy and points are divided amongst the group. The number of PvP points earned is determined by the Infamy of the player killed, and a small bonus is also applied based on one’s own Infamy. Type #infamy in game to bring this information back up. PvP Mechanics Continued We have added PvP vendors that sell many different items. Some are augments you can slot into gear you acquire out in the world, some are custom spells, and some are items that can be worn. To see a full list, see this link. These vendors will be located in every city for you to view. NPCs in many different zones have a chance to drop 2-slot and 3-slot augment gear in place of their original drop. E.g. a Skull Shaped Barbute has a chance to drop as 0, 2, or 3-slot augmentable version of itself. Additionally, low-grade augments can be obtained by PvEing as well, but the best augments come from PvP vendors. PvP Resist Notes Root Soft cap set to 92%. The formula is Your Level + 60. So at level 50, you will need 110 MR to hit 92% resist rate on root. Every additional 10MR = 1% chance to resist. At 190 MR, you will have achieved immunity to Root effects. Some notes on Raids Most Raid targets for now are set to 5 days +/- 8 hour variance Most Raid targets banish pets if they are tanking Plane of Fear and Plane of Hate trash is set to 24 hour respawn Plane of Sky was changed dramatically from its classic version You can access the zone by paying Rushka Deklamoor a small fee in East Commons (Solo Method). The regular method of group teleports is still an option Buffs will not be stripped upon landing inside No keys needed to travel island-to-island Death Touch is disabled in this zone A graveyard has been set up in the zone. All corpses will pop up on Island 1 after 20 minutes Encampments A legacy Rise of Zek mechanic is back. Encampments provide a way for guilds to quickly mobilize and rebuff. To claim an encampment, a guild must buy an Encampment Deed from the North Freeport Office of Landholders. Turn it into any of the Encampment Lot NPCs and each Encampment Location. Bind slots at encampments are limited to 36 characters. Melee are given a long cooldown gate item if they own an Encampment NPCs that both guard and buff the owning guild are available at encampments If an enemy guild destroys the bind stone, the encampment is lost There is a token guilds can use to make their encampment immune for 15 hours. Encampment locations are hand placed by server staff | ||

The changes are intuitive. The gameplay is the same, you will still be doing the same stuff you would do on a 100% classic box. The improvement being you can play a rogue in classic and have access to a 13 dmg weapon. The resists are in a better spot than red99 with root/snare and a solid partial dmg system with direct damage spells vs outright resist or full dmg. Even though PvP points were added, the system was designed with making sure it didn't diminish any PvE progression. | |||

Another positive, the client is leagues ahead of titanium. You download the patcher and it installs everything with 1 click. The ui even has several versions preloaded similar to duxai. You can be up and running with a much better client with 1 click to try it out.
