All that to say that while Torpor is really nice, it's not actually that useful if you don't have any of the other shit as well. If you don't have at least epic, it's not like Torpor really helps you all that much. I would buy a Child's Tear MQ before I buy Torpor, if I wasn't in a guild where I could get one the normal way (the rest of the epic is really easy and shouldn't be bought). JBB you can live without, mind you, and Malo as well if you're not trying to solo dragons or some shit. You can live without Bane/Pox if you have epic, but if you have none of them, you're kind of toothless. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to buy Torpor as your first big thing unless you know you're gonna get your epic pretty soon afterwards. At this point in the server's lifespan, I think you'd be more likely to loot Torpor off a mob than loot a Child's Tear if you're in a guild that isn't decidedly non-endgame, so while a tear MQ would probably cost more than Torpor does, I'd prioritize it first.
