Here's an idea, its never a good idea to show weakness to ya (especially) teenage kids. Howabout one of you tutor me in the nfl. Like what the actual fuck does 15 and down mean? Why does the toosh push work?
Id never admit it to the boy. I understand gettin the ball past the try line (touchdown) bit. Goals are self explanatory. But if i knew a fraction of what the hell he is on about i may gain an interest. And sound cool. What say you? Edjumacate an antipodean why dontcha.

If it's higher than 10 you lost yardage somehow, whether by being tackled behind the starting line("line of scrimmage", I think you call this a scrum) or a penalty or whatever.

Cool man. So nrl get 6 attempts to get to tryline (touchdown) position matters here as well. Some plays can gain you another 6 attempts. So attempting to gain yards by (what appears to be a bad play) only to "trick" your opponents with a zig instead of a zag can be a play? As long as you net 10 yards you get another go? Fuck yeah. I dunno what was invented first but all footy styles seem to be variations on themes. Union has no set number of attempts to gain meters (yards) but other limitations. League has 6 "sets" but can manipulate more within rules. NFL has limited number of sets that are changed by acheiving a set number of yardage. Unless other criteria are met. Nice. Thank you. I will definately have more dumb questions.
