I just spent the past hour with the same issue, changed my password about 7 times and reset it once. Was about to give up when my stepdad tried logging under his account. I noticed a peculiar detail when he did.
Do you have any caps in your password?
Do you manually hit shift to caps, or do you use the caps lock button?
It seems the login program, for whatever reason, doesn't identify caps lock as "Caps." When you go to type your password, try manually hitting shift to make a caps letter. Ended up working after I had to make a second account (changed it so much I have to wait 3 days before I can change it again, so had no choice but make a new one. RIP)
