Agi would allow the wielder to attain the optimal attack position to strike therefore more dps. Simples.

Dex does not increase hit rate. Technically it can increase DPS if the increased Dex causes a weapon to proc more frequently, but this has been parsed extentsively and increased Dex barely makes a weapon proc more frequently than without it. It's not a stat worth stacking for a Rogue.

I see your confusion now, if you have done this sepcific test before.

You are comparing a level 5 character to a level 1 character. Weapon skills do affect melee hit rate. What you saw was the level 5 hitting more because the level 5 had higher weapon skill. It was not due to the DEX.
