keeps telling me we have been disconnected

Are you guys on some wireless connection? Try an ethernet cable if you can and see if anything changes.

Other things I can think of that might cause issues:

1. Antivirus
2. Windows defender
3. Have you tried logging in from elsewhere? (a public wifi if on a laptop) Just to check if its something in your connection at home.
