Default Escaping Aggro in Ocean of Tears

If you have jboots and lev cloak, what is the best way to escape aggro in OOT as a melee? Would it be to run far away until mob loses aggro? Or run and camp? Some root item and camp?

Running far enough away and camping would be the safest solution if you do not have easy access to root/snare.

If you can root, do that first before camping. If you can snare, do that and then run away and camp.

Simply dieing will clear your aggro and return you to bind.

100+ seconds of jboot running straight away from a regular runspeed mob should leash it, then either wait long enough for it to fully blur or cycle camp.

(Probably more like 80 seconds if you strafe run with jboots. But I'm less sure of that.)
