60 Enchanter here. One, it depends are you asking about charmed pets or summoned pets. If we're talking summoned pets, I can say that I have noticed what seems to be a damage increase by giving summoned pets a torch for the lvl 12 spell. I could be wrong but it did seem to do better once given the torch. I don't think the wiki is completely accurate on pets so don't take it for its word. Now, before lvl 12 I've given pets torches and it doesn't seem to have much effect. This could be that they of course don't have the ability and/or just that they're skills are so low they just suck as it is.
