![]() I have not tried one.
Can you help me understand how it could help and suggest one? Both my fiber and wifi connections go through the same router and provider. The only thing I can think of is that the Wi-Fi is limited compared to my fiber connection.

![]() Another thing I've seen to try, which ~~may~~ help me sometimes, is to turn off IPv6 in your internet connection properties.
It can be reached in control panels -> Network and sharing center -> click on you connection to bring up it's status window -> click on properties -> uncheck box that says Internet protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6)

![]() Have had similar issues pretty much every day since Thanksgiving, where I will either see a blank server list, or will get errors connecting to the server. Once ingame, my ping will be almost double what is normally is, and there will be like a 40% chance the game will hard freeze if I attempt to zone (and thus repeat the cycle of having trouble getting in).
Seems to potentially be an issue with either AT&T in general, or AT&T fiber connections specifically, between ~7:00pm-10:30pm central US time. Not sure if limited to a specific servicing region, but the only solution for me has been to use my phone's hotspot on a different provider (so I assume a VPN will work as well) if I want to be able to do anything more than AFK in a zone. EQ uses about 20 MB of data per hour (lol) so it's not the end of the world, but still not super convenient.

![]() Run a latency test with a website. If it's an issue with your provider you will need to discuss it with them. Or maybe someone in your home discovered torrents. :P login to router and check activity.

![]() I was having these same issues (at the same time frame with the same ISP) and I will say a VPN made things 1000% better. I still don't understand -why- it works, but it does.
I will say I've still frozen when zoning once or twice over the course of a week, but it's lightyears better than freezing 80% of the time that I zone and then not being able to get back in. I signed up for the Private Internet Access VPN and while not free, it is only $2 a month (paying all up front obviously) so I think it's well worth the money if it's allowing me the sanity of not wanting to throw my computer across the room.

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Twelve99 is having major issues here (this was last week). Now when you use a VPN traffic is being routed differently and avoiding where the problem actually is

![]() I am having these problems too. can go for 30 minutes before getting character select screen or sometime server select. I am on AT&T Fiber. I live in Florida. I know a guy in California that has the same problems. The problem only seems to happen from 8pm eastern time til about 5 or 6 in the am.
