2 things all sketch in this. 1. This guild taxes you. 2. You can sell dkp for plat. When I look at that all I see is “ hi nothing to see here we don’t rmt”

Best guilds reward participation. Encourages more which eventually earns more rewards.

Hmm, you know it's a fair point on it's face, but I'm not sure an RMT scheme would work for this. While you could definitely fudge guild records and be like "see, the plat person A got was for DKP they transferred to Person B" in practice Person A would've needed to be a member of Lineage during that time and have accumulated DKP. So there's no real viable way to make this work since it's not like all the people trying to buy plat from you are going to be longer term Lineage members.

Interesting take.

Would love to hear your thoughts on taxation versus inflation and how it impacts economic purchasing power of normal citizens, your thoughts on dictatorships selling natural resources while barring their citizens from engaging in for profit economies, and your thoughts on actual ownership versus gaining access to assets via debt.
