Karana is bad recommendation. Its dangerous for lvl 17 and 20 and would be a huge cr. These forums are full of bad advice

Just bind in FP. Stay near unless your heading to a dungeon. I sometimes wonder if this board is trolling noobs

That's a pretty extreme take. SK is like a great zone for that level!

Yeah sure you have to run through lake rathe to get there if you die as a melee, but.. that's like an extra 15 mins from freeport.

I was gonna suggest Cazic Thule for OP - it's open as in it's got no roof.. but it's by no means: "easy to navigate."

I felt SK was a great suggestion.

At level 20 what are you thinking they would kill for exp near FP? Oasis mobs? That's really not great for 20+ IMO

I think the karanas is a great suggestion, it's both very classic and senic, but open and there is plenty to do from 20-30 there.

Go to East Karana and go to the very south east corner by the waterfall.

One of my favorite spots in the game.
EK is great, gore hounds for days!

Also break when you see a rabid wolf and kill it, those pelts are great exp till well into the 20s

Aviak village for 20+ too, rooks are up in the higher 20s iirc mixed with blues and whites and yellows for mid low 20s?

I mean I was just there on my lowbie in the northern part of SK. Most of the mobs weren't kos and I didn't have a single pather agro me during my entire stay. I found it much less dangerous than almost any place I've traveled in norrath, which is virtually all of them

All the karanas are great. Stonebrunt too.

I would definitely do outdoor zones. Harmony is a cheat code for quick pulling. Once you master that and venture indoors your partner can figure out FD pulling. Sounds like a great duo [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

charm crocs in oasis?

get some practice in before you guys do gators in CT (basically required for your duo, its that good)

https://wiki.project1999.com/Cazic_T...r_Pit#Level_32

if you not doing CT mid 20s to upper 30s you're doing it wrong

Only roamers that will give you a hard time is the werewolf and very rarely cracktusk. You can bind at the NK gypsies. Not the safest bind but worst case scenario you can strafe run to guard tower or SK bridge guards. Bound my ranger there and never had an issue.

Rooks are 20-22, harriers 24-26 and avocets 29-31 iirc. They'll be fine on egrets/darters.

Just to update everyone, I decided to take my 19 Cleric to East Karana to solo undead gnolls, going against basically all the advice I hear anywhere but here.
I've been having such a nice time that I don't think I'd like to ever go back to crocs or unrest again.

Compared to the lovely atmosphere of the outdoor western zones, cramping into a dungeon or standing ankle-deep on the shore in oasis sounds like a joke on the players. Yet it's all anyone does!

Looking forward to the other Karanas, Rathe, maybe even Everfrost next. Never been to Rathe, ever!

P.S. The exp is excellent. I'm halfway convinced the real ZEM is based on zone popularity and drop value.
