I am assuming this is referring to the "Joke Time" thread, which is gone now. At least 1 year ago the forum mods made it clear that political discussions were discouraged on the P99 forums, P99 official discords, in-game, etc. because of how vitriolic people were getting.
"Joke Time" basically stopped being about Jokes, and was becoming political from what I remember. So I am assuming the people who were being political in that thread got a ban. EDIT: Link to the announcement regarding political discussions - https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=428045
