Default Revert Custom item and lifetap nerfs, recharge costs

Given the server population decline I think it's time to revisit the nerfs of past and revert them, so the few remaining people can enjoy the game. It's ever increasingly difficult to find groups and I honestly think this might revitalize the server a little.

Post reference: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...andyr%27s+Hoop

I would like to see the following reverted, but not limited to:
  • Item recharge costs
  • Lifetap spells unresistable (classic)
  • Clicky cast times back to instant (where cast times added)
  • Remove summoning spiders in DN to really solve the bard issue (not just saying they can't play inside anywhere)
  • Restore Pacify to long duration (since the evidence was not conclusive)

Let me know what I missed

I believe most of these custom changes were made to combat raiding issues, but are no longer applicable. If anything, we're just hindering the smaller groups/guilds from being able to compete better.

GL, several posts like this have come before.

Specific to the Pacify duration, the thread governing those changes outlined that the duration is currently half of the actual classic duration and set this way intentionally due to the way spell resists work in P99 being unclassic. The devs have indicated a desire to change paci duration back to full duration pending an overhaul of how spell resists work to be inline with classic resists (basically chance of resists go way up but duration on success would be restored).

No offense, but there is zero chance this would ever occur.

These also have nothing to do with enjoyment of the game or the current server population. When they announce the new server and merge the two remaining ones pop will be fine.

Be careful what you wish for. The entire lull line is super non-classic here. We are using some PoP era nonsense.

"Traditionally, most lull spells haven't really worked very well. Lull had a high resist rate and wasn't very reliable. " - Rich Waters EQ dev circa 2002

Nerfed item drops or spawn rates — Certain camps were heavily adjusted due to botting or over-farming, which may no longer be relevant.

There would be a worse top-heavy problem if the servers were merged. It would not make the "population fine"

And that's not an issue that would be solved by things like *checks notes* reverting lifetap nerfs, lol.

Servers are top heavy because they've been around a lonnggggg time. Merge, start a new fresh server and you'll see thousands of people on it.
