Ah got it. Yeah now they do so they force you to petition. Although I wonder, if the staff member caught you in game they'd probably just do the name change then. I think it's just if you're offline when they get to the petition.

Yeah, my brother got hit with a name violation on his tunnel mule 3 weeks ago or so and just got a tell from GM and it was changed on the spot, no ban. Ban is likely just for the offline ones or really bad violations.
