The askren thing is so sad. Eclipsed maybe only by how many retarded comments I've seen that go something like "He doesn't support universal healthcare, so I don't feel bad at all!!!!!".

World of ghouls.

This is just asceticism idk why he’s being quoted like he’s a philosopher

Appreciate learning a new word, but I don’t think it applies like you think it does:

Asceticism: severe self-discipline and avoidance of all forms of indulgence, typically for religious reasons

Doesn’t apply as much to Kipchoge, he is a world record holding marathon runner, so his avoidance of indulgence is for the goal of becoming elite at what he is practicing. Nothing to do with religion

And that’s I assume what his message is. Avoiding SOME indulgences (not all, it’s not like the average person who adopts his attitude is going to stop putting sugar in their coffee, or stop ever turning on a single episode of a a tv show for the rest of their life), not only helps one to become better at reaching their goals, but it also prevents the risk of becoming a slave to those indulgences

Oh and in my quote I was mostly referring to homeless people, who have what they see as complete freedom: not having to worry about most laws like don’t litter, don’t loiter, don’t do hard drugs in public, etc. They also don’t have to worry about their diet. Or keeping their job. Or making sure to get their taxes done

Complete freedom right? Which usually results of becoming a slave to a hard drug, where every single aspect of their life revolves around it

Asceticism has levels tbh. If you try to go full monastic from the jump you’ll fail miserably and get discouraged. It’s a gradual process. Slowly giving up worldly things over time, and before you know it, you’ve become a much better version of yourself

This is why the only time I ever say “hi girl” to a girl at the gym

Is when I walk up bashfully but earnestly, put my hands behind my back and wink and say…

“Hi girl. GET THAT GODDAMN PHONE CAMERA OUT OF MY FACE! DID I GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO FUCKING FILM ME? DID I? DO YOUR ONLYFANS PORN AT HOME!”

Solid points from Patrick

Man, I remember that Khabib Vs Conor fight. As a huge Khabib fan, I had been telling people since his opening debut: this guy is trouble. This guy is big trouble. And they didn’t listen!!

There’s a video of an audience in Dagestan or somewhere in Russia watching the fight live and losing their shit, it’s cute

I think Conor knew he was going to lose hence all the theatrics throwing the dolly and shit. I believe in an interview Khabib did give respect to Conor's left hand though which he hit him with twice, it just didn't take him out the way it did other people. Gaethje hit him a bunch too, but again it just didn't matter.

I'm looking forward to Islam VS JDM bigtime.
