But for some reason, people mostly only consider "auto-tune" to be cheating. AI music isn't really lying to you because it's just emulating stuff people have already done.

![]() I personally think we're all gonna just go and do science and leave entertainment up to the holodeck (Ai) & shake sphere.
Toys will go back to being simple distractions for young children that will quickly age out of them. I think the toy market really only exists because we got rid of child labor, iirc until then it was like japetto carving wood crap for kids that were more interested in making their slaves fight in the back yard. ALthough, if we got rid of "adult labor" we're going to need to invent toys that they can use if they don't end up persuing science. Holodeck!

![]() I am ready and willing to embrace fully AI music, fully non-AI music, and music that uses some combination of the two.
The beatles used delay and pitch modulation to fake double tracking their vocals because john lennon didn't like singing the same part twice. Does anyone care? Nope

![]() Stopped at a gas station after a work request to pee, and they are using cute little cleaning robots
As I walked past it said in a female robot voice “par-don me, I am cleaning the floor, thank you for shopping at [gas station name” I kind of put my arm around it as I went by and asked “are you by any chance one of those pleasure models? Is there any hole for lubricant if you know what I mean?” It didn’t answer, sucks. Must not have been [You must be logged in to view images. Alright, /data/books/ in the AI folder needs suggestions cause I'm just gonna dump a bunch of young adult fantasy / cyberpunk shit in there if it's only up to me so what books should the ai know for it's personality?

![]() The non creatives always crave ways that can diminish those that are.
I am musical. 6 yrs at the conservatory. Blah blah right? Lots of theory, moderate practical. I cannot draw/paint for shit. I absolutely adore those that can (but also say they are arses) and marvel at their ability to turn a 2d drawing into a sphere (for example) that pops out of the page. Street chalk artists making steps and chasms? Fuck yeah. Ya A.I faff could not draw that shit without first being "trained" on it. This is well documanted. It cannot create music, even though essentially music is mathematical in nature (at a fundamental level). It needs to parse millions of tunes to determine the statistically most probable combo of notes/chords that will make a song or a riff. Im sure many peeps will link "A.I band RoboTronix" made a hit song. Im sure it did. What we didnt hear is the complete shit it passed off as hit material before it. A human (with musical chops) most assuredly vetted those songs before proclaiming "we no longer need humans to make our music" the game is over. It is true humans too make many attempts before a hit is made. Although some bastards make hit after hit. I'm thinkin' Queen, Neil Diamond, Beethoven, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, The Boss, need I continue? Im certain they've came up with non bangers, but ya sort of get a feel for it id say. In a way that A.I just cant. It just mathmatically spews cominations of frequencies until a human hears a banger. Sorry but its true.

“The study divided 54 subjects—18 to 39 year-olds from the Boston area—into three groups, and asked them to write several SAT essays using OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s search engine, and nothing at all, respectively. Researchers used an EEG to record the writers’ brain activity across 32 regions, and found that of the three groups, ChatGPT users had the lowest brain engagement and “consistently underperformed at neural, linguistic, and behavioral levels.” - Less brain activity because they are having E-Brains do their thinking for them?
