True, but the staff would have to care to do that and they clearly don't communicate or care that much these days. It feels like they're just riding the Titanic to the bottom as their interest is gone.

The staff has
always failed to communicate. Now, to be clear, Rogean and Nilbog no longer participate in this forum, even though they used to ... but that's not what I'm talking about.
Even in the old days when they did post, they still never posted much about P99 plans. For many years here people believed Velious would never be released, because the server just sat in Kunark
for four years. The staff offered zero updates during those years.
Same thing with Green: for four years after Velious there was (again) no communication from the staff, and everyone was convinced that "the recycle server" would never exist.
But of course, both Velious and Green
did happen ... they just happened on R&N's time, and neither one shared any updates until they were ready. But, in the tiny snippets of info they did give, they did at one point promise both Velious and Green ... and they also promised Green 2.0 (which requires merging 1.0 into Blue).

(Minor note: Rogean did later follow that up with "A lot can change in 3 years, and we may chose to leave Green running independently as we open additional servers in the future." ... but whether they keep Green 1.0 or not, they've never said anything about abandoning Green 2.0, and even abandoning the merge seems unlikely to me.)
