I mean, would it be weird?
The UK is the most watched nation in the world in terms of CCTV cameras in public spaces, speed cameras, and I'm sure everyone has a Ring doorbell these days, as well as a dashcam or some kind of movement sensor camera for their car.

Based on that I suppose banning VPNs and not allowing privacy online would be unsurprising. But the Prime Minister recently said how great the UKs freedom of speech laws are (lmao)...

We in the US aren't allowed to incite imminent lawless action either. It just doesn't come up much with our refusal to prosecute rioters to begin with.

You can put out freedom of information requests to access the publicly recorded footage and then cut it into the dystopian show you desire.

It'll get that far if someone has the business sense to monetize it. Youtube is good at the moment for seeing some of the protests happening, the country is getting more unstable by the week.

I imagine if it’s a type of protest the establishment does not like, the response will continue to be:

Step 1: Vilify it

Step 2: Media blackout on it

Step 3: Memory hole it

Seems the smartest way to deal with something you don’t like

Okay but get this: streaming service migration.

People moving in harmony with the seasons.

Digital nomads forced to wander.

Would it be illegal to hide cameras all over the place in public areas

Then live stream them all so people could watch all the crimes in a city?

Ai could like create a main page with all the best action shots and stuff.

Depends on the area, but many places have a presumption that it is reasonable to assume you may be being observed in public places and photography is an extension of that.

Where you'd run into trouble is your camera is going to be attached to something right? The side of a building etc... and that building will belong to someone who probably doesn't want it there :/

There's rules over drones around not filming residential areas but I'm not sure if a public shopping area would apply or not /shrug
